PURCHASING & SHIPPING
ORDERING
How is my payment handled?
Payments are taken through PayPal in US Dollars. You do not need to have a PayPal account to purchase; you can use the PayPal service to pay with your regular debit or credit card. We do not store any of your debit/credit card details. I also use Yoko as my credit card facility.
Purchasing with a deposit
Some original paintings have been set up allowing you to purchase in stages. As the value of my work grows I understand this can be a helpful option. You can check out with a 50% deposit payable online today. The balance can be paid in full, or payable in 2 monthly payments of 25% each. Details will be emailed to you. By purchasing using this option you understand that this is a deposit to secure your artwork and you will be required to pay the remaining balance.
This is not a credit scheme, but an arrangement on trust, at no extra cost to you. Usual shipping costs and return policy will apply.
Paying by bank transfer or EFT
There is a checkout option to pay by bank transfer (EFT). This saves me credit card fees. If you select this option you will be emailed with details of how to pay. Please pay immediately as the artwork is marked as sold immediately and unavailable to others. (Note, this is only applicable to holders of a South African bank account).
SHIPPING
I have placed my order, how soon will I receive my artwork?
Most orders will be packed and shipped within 5 working days. Within the UK pieces are sent by Royal Mail, Parcel Force or courier depending on size and weight. All shipments are tracked and require a signature on delivery. Most UK deliveries arrive within 2 days from time of shipping. Please allow 7 days in total. If you need a piece by a specific date, please contact me first to make sure it can reach you in time. There may be an extra charge for rush deliveries according to your requirements.
Can I collect my artwork from your studio?
Yes, once you have placed your order I will email you and we can work out a time to meet. My home is in Johannesburg, South Africa.
What about large or high value artworks?
I appreciate this is a high value purchase – and a piece of work I have have spent much time on! It’s important for both of us to make sure it is transported safely. Some couriers have limits on dimensions or what they will carry so certain pieces have individual requirements. I will contact you via email to discuss specialist shipping options before the artwork is despatched.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes, I can ship to most countries, although it will take longer to arrive depending on your location. If your location is restricted once you get to the checkout you need a bespoke courier service. Message me with your details and the piece you would like and I can give you shipping options.
Overseas shipments (outside of South Africa) may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are at the customer’s expense. We have no control over these charges and accept no responsibility for additional charges.
Shipping costs contribute towards packing supplies, labour and transit fees.
RETURNS
It is sometimes difficult to choose a painting or print on the internet. I want you to be fully happy with your new artwork so I offer a Buy-Back agreement. If a piece is not as you expect, you have 7 days to contact me by email and request a refund.
IMPORTANT: Please notify me in writing BEFORE returning an order: art@sarasian.com
Once a return has been agreed, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same service it was sent to you. Once the piece has been safely returned we will refund your payment within 14 days. Payment is refunded minus the cost of shipping and PayPal or Yoko fees.
- Paintings must be securely packaged and returned in their original condition and will then be subject to a full purchase price refund.
- Please note that insurance is required for all returns at your cost.
- Please place the original documentation in the package and re-wrap securely.

At this time we are unable to offer a refund or return on any product(s) sent outside of the UK.
NOTE:
- If the retuned order is not insured and damage or loss occurs, we will not be able to refund the purchase.
- Shipping costs can only be compensated if the return is a result of our error.
